Summer is almost here! Hurray! Don’t get me wrong we love the cool weather and to cosy up by the fire and drink all of the red wine. But enough now. We want to feel the warmth on our skin. The sand under our toes, and indulge in all the alfresco winery lunches #roseallday. So what is there to do down south this Summer? If you’re thinking of escaping this way, let us help you plan the perfect Margaret River Summer holiday.
Luxury Summer Experiences
Firstly……what’s new down south that you may have missed since last time you stayed in the Region? Absolute top of my list is the Taste of the Bays Sunset Cruise. Legendary Chef Tony Howell has recently been appointed executive chef; guests on board get to delight in a 7-course degustation with matched wines. Not only that, but all whilst cruising around stunning Meelup and Eagle Bay at sunset. Absolute Bliss! What’s even better? If you’re staying with us at Bina Maya there’s complimentary transfers to and from the experience.
Our guests love to enjoy our inhouse massage/facials from the luxury of their villas, but it can also be rather salubrious to visit a spa setting. Another luxurious experience in the region which we had the pleasure of visiting, is the newly opened Bodhi Spa Yallingup. Danny and Tania have done a wonderful job on the newly renovated space which overlooks Gunyulgup lake. The spa has five couples’ suites, an infrared sauna, hydrotherapy baths, as well as a yoga/meditation studio. Picture yourself all robed up and relaxed after your treatment sipping tea or bubbles on the spa terrace on a Summer’s day. Just what the doctor ordered. Ensure to book well in advance and ask about a special code when you’re a Bina Maya guest for special Bodhi treats.
If you haven’t been to Seth James’ joint venture with Larry Cherubino, you are missing out. Frui Momento (the former Laurence winery), has the perfect combination of confident Seth James creative cooking with some of the regions (and worlds) best wines. Guests get to pick from two menus .An alfresco menu which consists of local seafood, charcuterie, and beautiful caviar, or Seth’s full menu when you dine inside. We love that you can order a cocktail to start before diving into chardonnay heaven. We adored the whipped cod roe, chick on a stick and the caviar was a real treat. A perfect Summer’s lunch.
But I’m bringing the kids…
Never fear. As Bina Maya is family friendly accommodation, we’re always considering the children. Yallingup Maze has recently completed their new mini golf course. The course is ideal for kids (and big kids alike). The helpful team will help you work out golf clubs and score cards when you arrive. If its busy, the maze is fantastic fun, especially in Summer with water pistols! You can of course cool down in cafe or have a go at their great selection of puzzles. They also have bouncy castles in Summer which the kids can enjoy whilst you indulge in a refreshing ale. Summer Down South done right!
If you’re looking for an escape, Bina Maya has some availability early/ mid January but this won’t last. Get in touch if we can assist with a booking and you could be enjoying the perfect Down South Summer escape!
